Vitta Nativa, the Visual Identity
Brazil produces some of the world's most powerful plant-based ingredients. Vitta Nativa exists to transform this into high-performance cosmetics, without sacrificing elegance or origin.
The brief was clear : create a brand that wouldn't be confused with generic, history-less drugstore cosmetics, nor with naive, aesthetically pleasing natural products. Vitta Nativa needed to occupy its own territory, that of rooted sophistication. Brazilian not as a marketing ploy, but as a foundation.

Andiroba (Carapa guianensis) is the brand's central asset and its official symbol. One of the most commercially successful medicinal oils in the global cosmetics industry is extracted from this tree , and it is precisely this tension between ancestral origin and contemporary relevance that the brand embodies.
The andiroba fruit, when opened, reveals seeds arranged in an almost perfect geometry , four lobes that unfold like petals around a central axis. This structure became the brand's symbol: drawn with a scientific engraving style, a direct reference to 19th-century botanical plates, where technical rigor and beauty coexisted on the same line.

The three colors of the brand identity were extracted directly from the plants that define the product formulations. The deep terracotta comes from the bark of the buriti palm (Mauritia flexuosa), an Amazonian fruit with an intense orange color that contains one of the highest levels of beta-carotene found in nature. The dark moss green is the color of the dense, closed foliage of the andiroba tree, found in humid forests. The ivory comes from murumuru butter (Astrocaryum murumuru), a raw material extracted from Amazonian palm trees and widely used in the nourishing cosmetics industry. Three ingredients, three colors.
The color palette wasn't chosen, it was found.
The packaging system was designed to communicate premium quality without artificiality . Frosted dark green glass for the oils, amber bottle for the butters, pressed paper tube for the lip balm, dark cardboard box for the handmade soap. Each material was chosen for its recyclability and the aesthetic it carries—materials that age well, that seem to have a history even before being opened. The botanical symbol appears in embossing or discreet hot stamping, present without being loud.

The logo uses a high-contrast serif font with editorial personality, where the weight of VITTA in uppercase anchors the brand visually, and the native lowercase font conveys closeness and lightness. The composition is reminiscent of scientific herbarium labels, where the species name was written meticulously, because naming accurately was also a form of respect.
